Course Overview

This nationally accredited qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts. As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team. They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. Conversely it may also apply to those with little or no experience but who are seeking to develop their skills in order to create further education and reemployment opportunities.

Delivery Mode, Duration and Location

Classroom Based:
This course will be delivered face-to-face in a classroom-based setting, which also includes a simulated work environment.

The duration for this program is 52 weeks including:

  • 4 study periods of 11 weeks each (66 study weeks in total).
  • 8 weeks of term break.

Entry Requirements

There is no pre-requisites or specific entry requirement for this qualification. This course is available to all domestic students and The Leadership College of Australia requires that students are able to provide evidence that they:

  • Have a suitable level of language, literacy and numeracy to complete course requirements with or without additional support that The Leadership College of Australia is able to provide.
  • Have successfully completed Australian year 12 or equivalent.
  • Are at least at age of 18 on the date of course commencement.

Please Note: All the students commencing this course are required to complete the LLN test on the orientation day to assist The Leadership College of Australia to identify student’s needs for additional support during their study with The Leadership College of Australia.

Pathways

This qualification may provide a pathway to further studies in BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management or any other relevant qualifications.

Although it does not guarantee an employment outcome, completion of this qualification could lead to employment as a supervisor or manager across a wide range of industries.
